Physiotherapy
Our physiotherapists use a variety of techniques tailored to each patient's condition or diagnosis to reduce or eliminate pain, improve strength and mobility, and help patients regain the ability to perform daily tasks and activities.
Physiotherapy + Shockwave
A non-invasive treatment that activates the body's natural healing process, helping to relieve pain and promote the recovery of injured tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissues.
Spinal Decompression / Mechanical (Spinal) Traction
A specialized treatment technique that alleviates pressure on the spine by using a device that gently pulls or stretches the spinal vertebrae and surrounding muscles.
Physiotherapy + BTL SIS/Super Inductive System
The BTL Super Inductive System (SIS) is an advanced physiotherapy device that delivers high-intensity electromagnetic stimulation with greater depth and power than any other physiotherapeutic modality. This innovative technology enables highly effective treatment across a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
SIS works by generating focused electromagnetic fields that penetrate deep into tissues, promoting pain relief, enhancing joint mobility, accelerating fracture healing, and reducing muscle spasticity. Its non-invasive approach makes it especially effective for chronic conditions, bone and joint injuries, and neuromuscular disorders.
Key Clinical Applications of SIS Therapy:
Pain Management: Provides effective relief for chronic pain, back pain, neck pain, and joint discomfort.
Spasticity Reduction: Reduces muscle spasticity, particularly in patients recovering from strokes or neurological injuries.
Fracture Healing: Enhances the bone healing process by improving circulation and cellular activity at the injury site.
Joint Mobilization: Stimulates muscle contractions to alleviate joint restrictions and improve range of motion.
Musculoskeletal Disorders: Beneficial in treating arthritis, osteoporosis, muscle stiffness, and degenerative joint diseases.
Nerve Conditions: Supports nerve regeneration and provides relief for conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome.
Sports Injuries: Effective in the recovery of sprains, strains, and ligament injuries.
Neurological Conditions: Aids in improving neuromuscular coordination and managing spasticity associated with neurological disorders.
Post-Surgical Rehabilitation: Accelerates healing and functional recovery following orthopedic surgeries.
Other Indications: Can also be used in managing scoliosis, patellar tendinopathy, and impingement syndromes.
Physiotherapy + Acupuncture
Combining physiotherapy and acupuncture provides a holistic approach to treatment by integrating Anatomical Acupuncture techniques (Western Anatomical model), when used alongside physiotherapy, can help alleviate pain, enhance circulation, and reduce muscle spasms. This not only supports the healing process but also makes physical therapy exercises more comfortable and effective.
Pelvic Health/Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy
Pelvic health or pelvic floor physiotherapy focuses on treating and managing conditions related to the pelvic floor muscles, which support the bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs. The pelvic floor is a group of muscles and connective tissues that play a crucial role in urinary and bowel control, sexual function, and overall core stability.
Pelvic floor physiotherapy involves exercises and techniques to strengthen or relax these muscles, depending on the condition. It's commonly used to address issues such as:
Urinary incontinence (leaking urine)
Pelvic organ prolapse (when organs like the bladder or uterus drop due to weakened pelvic muscles)
Chronic pelvic pain
Constipation
Sexual dysfunction (such as pain during intercourse)
Postpartum recovery after childbirth
Pre and post-surgery rehabilitation, especially for conditions like prostate cancer
Concussion - Vestibular Rehab
A specialized type of physical therapy designed to treat vestibular disorders or symptoms, which include dizziness, vertigo, and difficulties with balance, posture, and vision. These issues often arise after a concussion caused by rapid head acceleration-deceleration (such as in whiplash injuries) or direct head trauma from events like falls, impacts, or accidents.
Physiotherapy + Red Light
Red light therapy can serve as a beneficial complement to physiotherapy by potentially speeding up the healing process and alleviating pain and inflammation. It functions by enhancing cellular activity, especially within the mitochondria—the energy-producing centers of cells. This stimulation may support improvements in muscle recovery, joint flexibility, and the healing of wounds.
